A dancer from Devizes has made the grade after passing a top dancing exam.
Andrea Chan, 16, who goes to Dance4Life, found out this week that she had achieved a high merit in Advanced 1 ballet.
The Dauntsey’s School student travelled to the Royal Academy of Dance headquarters in London at the end of December to take the exam.
Emma Townley, principal at Dance4life, said: “Andrea is very pleased with her result and was quite anxious about receiving it after putting in so much hard work preparing for the exam. I am extremely proud of her achievement and ability.
“Advanced 1 ballet is a vocational level exam and is usually studied at vocational dance schools, so Andrea has done extremely well to achieve this level at her age and stage in her education.”
Dance4Life currently offers modern theatre dance and ballet classes for ages three and over in Great Cheverell, Marlborough and Westbury.
