A 19-year-old woman suffered serious injuries when the car she was driving was involved in a collision last night.
The incident happened shortly before 7.20pm between Axford and Mildenhall when the woman was thrown from the blue Ford Fiesta which had turned on its side.
She was treated on the scene for pelvic, neck, back and leg injuries by paramedics, an emergency care practitioner and a BASICS doctor.
She was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, by ambulance where she remains.
Police were called to the scene near Grove Farm Cottages, Mildenhall, at 7.24pm and a diversion was put in place.
Fire crews from Marlborough and Pewsey attended to assist the police and make sure the car was safe.
The road was reopened at 12.15am today after police carried out an investigation.
