A winter exhibition and sale of paintings by Chippenham and District Artists was opened by the mayor, John Scragg, at the Yelde Hall this month.
He commended the exhibition for its range of art and excellent display and presented the prize to the winner of Best in Show.
Glynis Overton won the award for her painting, Urban Decay.
Judge Yvonne Auld commented on its composition, colour balance and originality. The president, Bob Rudd, is displaying one of his prize-winning watercolours and praised all the artists for their high standard of work and the organisers for hard work in curating the display.
The exhibition is on until Sunday at the Yelde Hall, Market Place, from 10.30am to 3.30pm daily. Call Prue Backway on 01249 658697.
