Aldbourne Village Stores is a hub of the community and the hard work of owners Sue and Mark Rendell has been recognised with a Community First award.
The Community First charity aims to strengthen the economy and improve quality of life in Wiltshire and its award scheme is in its second year.
The Aldbourne Stores in The Square, which has a post office, deli and café, was given the Village Shop award to recognise a service that goes the extra mile.
Judges were impressed by the fact the Rendells kept the business open during the floods as well as the services on offer including selling tickets for village events and dispensing medicines on behalf of the surgery.
Mrs Rendell said: “Our heart and soul goes into this. When the village flooded we discovered a well in the back and pumped water out so we could stay open.”
