A 42-year-old man who sexually abused a young girl has been told to expect a lengthy jail term.
And Aubrey Carter was remanded in custody by a judge as he awaits sentence.
Carter was to face trial after pleading not guilty to three counts of sexual activity with the same child.
But the case was brought back before a judge at Swindon Crown Court in August when he charged his pleas.
He accepted he carried out a sex act with the girl, when she was 14 or 15 between the start of 2012 and mid May last year.
He also had sex with her twice between Wednesday, May 8, and Saturday, May 11, 2013.
Carter, of Cornflower Close, Calne, pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual activity with a child.
He was due to be sentenced on Thursday last week but the case has been adjourned to Monday, November 10.
Judge Tim Mousley QC said: "Ultimately there will be a long custodial sentence."
