A Devizes man who is accused of assaulting a woman faces trial by judge and jury.
Stephen Diffey, 31, pleaded not guilty to a charge of causing actual bodily harm when he appeared at Swindon Crown Court on Friday.
Diffey, of no fixed abode, is accused of assaulting the woman on Wednesday August 27.
Judge Tim Mousley QC adjourned the case to Monday, February 16, for a two-day trial and remanded him in custody until then.
