Sarah Bridewell, mayor of Devizes, was getting her brew just right when she visited Wadworth Brewery as it produces a limited edition mayoral ale.
The ale - Oh Yey - will be on sale in some Devizes pubs as part of Cask Ale Week, which starts tomorrow.
Wadworth will be donating 50p per pint sold to the mayor’s nominated charities.
Coun Bridewell said: “It is great that I can work with this local business to raise awareness and donations for the charities and at the same time raise the profile of the pubs.
“I am looking forward to pouring my first pint at The Castle Hotel, Devizes, to celebrate the beginning of Cask Ale Week!"
Brian Yorston, head brewer, described the 4.7 per cent ale as a malty amber ale with citrus flavours and a bitter hop finish.
Oh Yey will be on sale during Cask Ale Week from tomorrow until October 5 in the following Devizes pubs: The Castle Hotel, The Black Swan, The Bear Hotel, The Bell by the Green, The Fox & Hounds, Moonrakers, The Hare & Hounds, The Pelican, The Bridge in Horton and The Kings Arms, All Cannings.
