Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade Area Board will host a health and wellbeing event at the library on September 24.
There will be stands representing health organisations. Experts will be on hand to provide advice and information no issues such as support for an older relative, weight loss or simply checking blood pressure.
There will be an information session on the work that is happening to create a ‘dementia friendly’ community.
This will be followed by an interactive workshop to look at ways of staying out of the doctor’s surgery.
The area board meeting will take place at the end of the evening.
More information about the event is available from Julia Densham, RWB&C community area manager on 01249 706496, or email julia.densham@wiltshire.gov.uk
