A man who is said to have fractured his wife's jaw in a violent attack has been released on bail by a judge.
Leonard Sykes is accused of kicking the woman during the alleged incident on Sunday September 15 last year.
The 38-year-old, of Thingley Caravan Park, Easton Lane, Chippenham, faces a count of causing grievous bodily harm to Melissa Sykes.
No charges were put to Sykes and he did not enter a plea during the brief hearing at Swindon Crown Court.
Recorder James Watson QC adjourned the case to Friday May 2 and released him on conditional bail until then.
