PUPILS at The Trinity Primary School in Devizes will soon be able to play outdoors on new equipment.
As a new-build school, opened in 2012 next to the housing off Quakers Walk, there was no provision for outdoor play equipment.
The school has received £10,000 in funding through The Big Lottery Fund’s Awards For All scheme, £5,000 from Devizes Area Board and £3,000 from Aster Communities. The school has also raised a substantial sum to match this funding.
Sharon Day, the school’s business manager, said: “We will use the money to build a trim trail, which is a huge piece of outdoor wooden play equipment. This will include a jungle swing trail, rope tunnel, monkey bars and scramble net.”
Work on the trail will begin on Monday.
