Devizes Town Council has teamed up with the BBC for three nights of stargazing in Hillworth Park next week.
From Tuesday to Thursday, between 6pm and 9pm, local people will be able to go along to the park and take part in Stargazing Live.
The national event covers themes such as galaxies, space exploration and space weather.
People can bring along their own telescopes or use those belonging to The Richmond Fellowship, which operates an observatory at Greenacres, off Green Lane.
Carole Berry, the town council’s direct services manager, said: “Experts will be on hand to help with advice and share experiences with amateurs.
“The park café will be open for snacks and hot drinks and the TV programme will be shown on the big screen in the park centre.”
Stargazing Live, presented by Professor Brian Cox and Dara O’Briain, is being screened each night of the event from 8pm to 9pm on BBC Two.
