Having read about yet another proposed solar park locally I am becoming increasingly concerned about the further industrialisation of the local rural environment.
At present, within a three-mile radius of our small hamlet, there are proposals for more than 200 acres of agricultural land to be developed as solar farms.
Although I appreciate Wiltshire has to meet a target for the supply of green energy, the local infrastructure is not suitable for development on this scale.
The construction phase would put an intolerable burden on local roads and the inefficient nature of solar power would hardly warrant this.
