Michelle Donelan is the selected Conservative candidate for the Chippenham constituency at the next general election.
Miss Donelan, 29, was brought up in Whitley, Cheshire, but moved to Monkton Park in Chippenham in May. She is state educated, comes from three generations of small business owners and works in international marketing for World Wrestling Entertainment.
She will stand against Liberal Democrat MP Duncan Hames and Labour Andy Newman at the election, which is scheduled for May 2015.
She said: “I like to think if I can handle wrestlers I can handle the House of Commons.
“I don’t believe politicians should tell you what to do in your life. I believe people know what’s best for their own lives; I am going into politics to provide the opportunities to ensure they are able to achieve it.”
