Corsham residents woke yesterday to find they had been yarnbombed, with brightly coloured woollen decorations covering trees and lamp-posts in the town.
Box artists Emma Leith spearheaded the project, creating about 200 crochets and pompoms to bring colour to the town, with the help of pupils from Corsham School and groups at Jamie's Farm in Ditteridge.
Even the golden lion in the Martingate Centre found itself covered in a blanket of many colours.
Yarnbombing is a fast growing form of street art which sees knitted covers and decorations appearing overnight on street furniture and statues.
