Organisers of the Devizes Food and Drink Festival are appealing for more volunteers.
Next May will be the event’s tenth year and chairman Sally McClelland said the committee needed more help.
She said: “The festival gives us the opportunity to shout loud and proud about the diversity of foods and drinks that originate and are consumed here. Last year we had well over 30 events spread over nine days, which was a massive challenge to arrange and co-ordinate.”
To provide support email info@devizesfoodanddrinkfestival.info Fundraising at this year’s festival resulted in donations being presented to a number of charities. At a presentation evening, cheques were given to Devizes Mayor Pete Smith for his nominated charities (Canon’s House, Young Carers and Wiltshire Air Ambulance) as well as to David Fruen on behalf of Dorothy House Hospice Care.
Individual festival events also raised money for the Air Ambulance and Devizes Food Bank.
