Police in Calne are appealing for the public's help to identify three people in connection with an attempted purse theft in Calne.
The victim, a local woman in her sixties, was walking through an alleyway in the town with her shopping trolley shortly before 1.30pm on Wednesday, August 7. She was approached by another woman who asked her for directions while showing her a map of London.
The victim then turned to see two men reaching into her shopping trolley. All three then left the alley towards the lower Sainsbury's car park. No items were taken.
The woman who asked for directions is described in her thirties, of short build with dark tied back hair, Mediterranean skin and wearing a stripey top.
Anyone with any information or who recognise those shown in the CCTV images is asked to contact Wiltshire Police on 101. Alternatively people can contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be left anonymously if they wish.
