COATE resident Angela Purdon has put out a desperate plea for help as her Labrador/Springer cross Zebo has just spent his third night lost in the surrounding countryside.
Zebo went missing at around 6.30pm on Saturday, chasing a hare. Despite combing the countryside round, about Mrs Purdon has seen no sign of her beloved dog and is desperate for news of him.
She said: “He must have lost all sense of direction. He has never been away from home for this length of time before. He looks like a black Labrador but he has a white blaze on his belly and a white “feather” on his head.
“He is microchipped but has no collar. If anyone has seen him we would be most grateful for any news.”
Zebo’s companion, Tasker, went AWOL shortly afterwards but was handed in to Macqueen’s veterinary centre who phoned Mrs Purdon. She said: “Tasker must have been missing his soulmate and went off in search of him.”
Anyone who might have seen Zebo is asked to ring Mrs Purdon on (01380) 860958 or 07882 480571.
