The driver of a stolen car flagged by a camera in Chippenham has been arrested in Melksham on suspicion of drink driving and dangerous driving.
A grey Vauxhall Zafira believed to have been stolen from Bristol was spotted on the A420 at 8.53am this morning.
The Wiltshire Air Ambulance assisted police in tracking the car as it travelled into Melksham on the A350, where the driver failed to stop, before abandoning the car and escaping on foot.
Officers pursued, and arrested the 26-year-old who has no known address near Melksham railway station at 9.25am.
