The A342 between Chirton and Marden was closed for four hours on Monday morning following a four-vehicle crash.
Only one person was taken to Great Western Hospital in Swindon with minor injuries in the incident which took place shortly before 8am on Monday but it took four hours to recover the cars and clear up the spilt fuel.
The crash involved a red Renault Clio, a red MG ZS, a silver VW Bora and a green Suzuki Vitara.
One of the drivers has been reported for driving without due care and attention.
