A BALL to celebrate Goatacre Cricket Club’s 85th anniversary will be held on September 7.
The club has nearly 200 members with four adult and five junior teams.
Recently a grant from Sport England allowed the club to enlarge and upgrade its changing facilities.
The anniversary coincides with the 25th anniversary of the club winning the National Village Cup.
At the start of the day there will be a match featuring members of the original 1988 Lord’s side, who will play against a select invitation XI.
