Sainsbury's has donated plants to Frogwell School in Chippenham to give a boost to a gardening club it helped to set up two years ago.
Many of the primary school’s seven to nine-year-olds meet weekly to work in the gardens.
Frogwell has been working on composting with Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and plans to use the vegetables it grows in its cookery club. The donation includes strawberry and tomato hanging baskets as well as bulbs and flowers.
Headteacher Avis Ball said: “The kids love the gardening club; they’re there every week regardless of weather, they really enjoy it. Some have little patches at home as well and it links in with conservation.”
