Poulshot computer consultant Grant Wall took his own life after suffering from depression for some years, an inquest has found.
Mr Wall, 35, was found hanging at his home in Poulshot Road, Poulshot, on September 24 last year after his friends became concerned he had not been seen.
Friend and former work colleague Andrew Fox told assistant deputy coroner Ian Singleton at the inquest in Salisbury last Thursday that Mr Wall had depression and weeks would elapse before he would see him.
He last saw Mr Wall the week before he died.
Mr Fox said: “He seemed a little low but he had been doing a lot of work and I put it down to that.
“He tried to ring me a couple of days later but I missed the call and didn’t manage to get back to him.”
Mr Fox said he became concerned when he wasn’t able to contact Mr Wall so he cycled round to his house, arriving at around 8.30pm. The front door was unlocked and the lights off. Inside, he found Mr Wall.
PC Chris Cooke, who investigated the scene, said he was confident there were no suspicious circumstances.
Some cannabis plants were found in Mr Wall’s bedroom and witnesses said Mr Wall had been a regular user.
Mr Singleton said that, despite the lack of a note, he was satisfied Mr Wall had taken his own life.
