All Wiltshire roads could affected by ice and snow, following last night's snowfalls, so Wiltshire Council is advising motorists to drive carefully.
A spokesman said: "We currently have a few roads either being ploughed or have drifting snow. Please take extra care on the: A350 Lords Hill, B3081 Win Green and the A4361 Avebury to Broad Hinton.
"A minor road in Everleigh is currently closed as a gritter lorry has got stuck. This will be recovered soon.
"We are concentrating our resources to ensure the main roads are kept running. We have been salting, and will continue to do so. Please never assume a road is salted.
"Local farmers have helped to clear the worst affected roads, and local town and parish councils have activated their local snow plans to keep smaller roads open."
The council has been notified of four school closures. They are Chilton Foliat, Downland in Devizes, Rowdeford School in Devizes, and Springfields Academy, Calne.
