AN exuberant production of the Dolly Parton hit, 9 to 5, erupted on stage at Chippenham's Neeld Arts & Community Centre last week.
Vibrant individual characterisations, a well-adapted tiered set, excellent effects and well-drilled chorus and dance numbers ensured a further success for CLOGS, Chippenham's renowned amateur musical theatre.
Principals in the excellent cast incuded Sandra Mayo as Violet, Nicola Aston as Judy, Jolanthe de Koning as Doralee, Debi Weaver as Roz and Graham Davison-Smith as Hart, the unprincipled boss.
The struggles of activists in the Consolidated workforce, to achieve equal rights and pay for female employees, ensured plenty of action, and great entertainment.
The show was directed by Matt Heaton, with musical director Peter French and choreographer Lucy Ibbotson.
