A new event, Calne’s Big Mix has its first night on Saturday, and is, according to organiser Ronnie St John Laurie, going to be a banger.
Presented by local Benji Clements, it aims to blend some of the best up-and-coming live performers and bands with some of the UK’s top DJs, to bring a bit of spice to the town.
Unit 10 studios are supplying 12K of sound, with live hip hop/acoustic/drum and bass/jungle acts, with performances from Nicky Blackmarket, Annix, Brownie Brown, Casual-T, the Showhawk Duo, Benji and Hibbz with their full live band and Gimson and Rosko, who bill themselves as a ‘kountry kartel’.
MCs include Impact, Nic, Live Mic and Keudon.
Caribbean Party Nights will be dishing up authentic Caribbean cuisine. The night is strictly over-16s only, with ID required.
Where: Liberal Club, Calne
When: Saturday, 6pm-1am
Tickets: in advance, £8 (more on the door) from the club/High Street Barbers, Calne/The Charcoal/07814 274417
