SHAKESPEARE Live have sold more than 1,000 seats for their seven performances of The Winter's Tale.

But there is still space available in the socially-distanced and Covid-secure marquees for their latest production, which begins on Monday.

Tickets are available for all performances, Monday to Saturday, July 5-10 at 7.45pm each evening and at 2pm on Saturday as well, although best availability is at the start of the week.

Company spokeswoman Gill Morrell said: "It hasn't been an easy process, with regulations to follow, strict limits on rehearsal numbers, and some very unpleasant weather for outdoor rehearsals, but the indefatigable company of experienced and passionate volunteers are ready to go."

This weekend, all the infrastructure gets put in place in the gardens of Cleeve House in Seend.

Shakespeare Live has produced an exciting and fast-moving production of the Bard's play that includes near-tragedy, romance, partying peasants, a touch of magic and a life-size bear!

All seats are under cover and there are a few outdoor groundling places left, too.

Tickets cost between £10 and £22.50 and include the chance to picnic and enjoy the facilities at Cleeve House from 6.30pm and from 12.30pm for the matinee, plus some extra live entertainment on Saturday's Gala Night.
