Forget being a beauty queen, Honey Boo Boo has now set her sights on the pop princess crown.
The young TV star, real name Alana Thompson, rose to fame on TLC’s child pageant show Toddlers And Tiaras, followed by her own reality series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.
The show came off air a year ago, but it seems the 10-year-old has found another way to keep herself in the public consciousness – a pop song called Movin’ Up.
Honey has teamed up with viral video star Adam Bartha for the track, which the pair co-wrote and which she raps on.
Mama June and her father, affectionately called Sugar Bear, make cameos in the video, while sister Lauryn Shannon, known as Pumpkin, gets her own lines.
Lyrics include: “I’m the princess of this castle/Mama June queen of the house/Went from something to nothing/I holler and scream and shout.”
Honey Boo Boo’s show was cancelled last year after allegations that Alana’s mother, Mama June, was dating a convicted child sex offender.
The song has already proved to be an earworm for some Twitter fans.
