Elizabeth Banks is to join the jury for the Venice Film Festival 2015.
The Hunger Games star will judge entries alongside eight other respected members of the film industry, including The Host actress Diane Kruger, Ida director Pawel Pawlikowski, and We Need To Talk About Kevin director Lynne Ramsay.
Alfonso Cuaron will serve as jury president, Variety reported.
After starring as a catty acapella commentator in Pitch Perfect, the 41-year-old actress made her debut as a director this year with Pitch Perfect 2.
Widely known for playing as Bridget von Hammersmark in Quentin Tarantio’s 2009 film Inglourious Basterds, she is currently filming the TV series Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp.
The 72nd edition of Venice Festival will run September 2-12.
