A raft of Wiltshire businesses are hoping for national glory after being named regional winners in the annual Muddy Stilettos awards.

The 2023 edition of the popular yearly awards, which saw 800,000 votes cast to decide the regional winners, recently announced the top businesses in the area across 27 competitive categories.

In total, 77,000 businesses were nominated across the UK and the Wiltshire winners have now been named.

The categories include best destination pub, which was won by The Black Swan Inn, in Devizes, and best restaurant, scooped by the Harp and Crown in Corsham.

Businesses from across the county, from Swindon to as far as Salisbury, were successful in the vote.

These 27 winners will now be automatically entered into the website’s national awards and will battle it out to be named best in the country by the Muddy Stilettos editors, who will judge the competition.

Announcing the winners, a muddy stilettos spokesperson said: “We have always proudly run the muddy awards on the basis of being free for all businesses to take part, and on our 10th anniversary, it’s still as exciting as ever to shine a light on brilliant lifestyle indies that make our lives so much more fun and vibrant.”

The national winners will be announced on July 26.
