A handful pubs are up for grabs in Wiltshire’s towns and villages after being listed for sale.

Several pubs in the county are currently up for sale on the property website Rightmove, with almost a dozen opportunities available for prospective landlords in total.

These listings range from high street venues to traditional village pubs, while interested parties can secure their new business for as little at £69,500 or as much as £695,000.

A list of pubs still for sale in Wiltshire, at the time of writing, can be found below.

The Waggon and Horses

The Waggon and Horses is located in a central position on the High Street of Royal Wootton Bassett.

It is a Grade II listed public house, dating back to the 17th century, and has been up for sale since March.

Those hoping to purchase it will have to fork out £295,000.

The Inn with the Well

Another village pub, The Inn with the Well is a prominent business within Ogbourne St George, between Marlborough and Swindon.

The current landlords have traded in the village since 1991, achieving a TripAdvisor certificate of excellence in that time, but are now set to retire.

Estate agents Christie and Co have listed the property with a fixed price of £650,000.

The Vale of the White Horse Inn

The most expensive pub on the list, with a price of £695,000, the inn on Station Road in Minety has an attractive terrace that can seat 50 people and is set in over an acre of land.

This property has been comprehensively restored since the current owners bought it in 2002 and is described as having the potential to be a boutique hotel and pub.

The Radnor Arms

In 2011, the current landlords at The Radnor Arms purchased the pub despite having no previous experience in the industry.

Over the last 12 years they have extensively refurbished the pub and converted a former skittle alley into two letting rooms.

Now the Corston pub, just north of the M4 between Chippenham and Malmesbury, is up for sale again for £450,000.

The Cross Keys

A High Street pub, The Cross Keys holds a central position in the village of Rowde, just outside Devizes.

The venue has been handed a guide price of £425,000 and boasts a skittle alley with a dedicated servery.

The Goddard Arms

This village free house has been closed since 2015, and has been under its current ownership since 2017.

The Goddard Arms is just outside the village of Broad Hinton, a few miles south of Swindon and the M4, and has two bars and a beer garden.

Those hoping to reopen the pub after a long closure will need to pay £495,000.

The White Hart

The cheapest pub on the list, The White Hart has been under the same ownership for 16 years but is now set to change hands due to other “business interests.”

Found on Bath Road in Atworth, the pub boasts two beers gardens seating 70 people and is available for just £69,500.

The Kings Head

A country pub in the picturesque village of Chitterne, The Kings Head is on the market for £340,000.

The pub is currently closed, according to a listing by Sidney Phillips, and was shut periodically during 2019 and 2020.

The Bell at West Overton

This village pub is located on the A4 between Marlborough and Avebury, and is on the market for £575,000.

The venue can cater to up to 70 customers at once and also offers two bedrooms of owner accommodation for potential buyers.
