“I’m bored, Mum, there’s nothing to do” – the dreaded words of the Easter school holidays.

But help is at hand for parents and grandparents from those wonderful people at Visit Wiltshire, who have compiled a list of events designed to keep the little ones happy.

Here’s a selection of what Visit Wiltshire has prepared:

BRADFORD ON AVON DUCK RACE BA15 1DE

Easter Monday, April 18. Westbury Garden, Bradford on Avon.

Bradford on Avon Town Council will be hosting the annual Duck Race and this year looks to be bigger and better than ever.

From 11am in beautiful Westbury Garden, there will be live music as well as catering and entertainment stalls including hook a duck, before the main event starts at midday.

You can take part by sponsoring a duck until Saturday, April 16 at the following town businesses: Piha, The Swan, Christine’s Sustainable Supermarket, Doghouse, Strawberry Blue, and Dible & Roy.

Ducks will also be available from the Town Council offices and the Tourist Information Centre and on race day in Westbury Garden.

There are prizes to be won, including:

• A weekday narrowboat along the Kennet & Avon canal donated by Sally Narrowboats

• Two luxury cushions from Dible & Roy

• 10 free swimming lessons with Puddle Ducks, for children aged 0-4, worth over £150

EASTER ADVENTURE QUEST STONEHENGE SP4 7DE

To April 25. Easter Adventure Quest at Stonehenge, Amesbury.

Join in for a cracking adventure quest at Stonehenge this Easter holiday. Explore the site to hunt for clues and challenges, and discover traditional Easter games like egg rolling and the egg and spoon race.

Track down the Easter eggs and you'll be rewarded with a chocolate treat and an adventurer's certificate.

The quest costs just £1.50, which you can pay when you arrive at the site. This is in addition to the normal ticket price.

You can take on the quest every day of the school holidays. With eggs, chocolate and old-fashioned fun, it's the perfect way to get out and about in history this Easter. Book online and save! Sunday to Monday 9.30am-5pm

EASTER EGG HUNTS AT LACOCK ABBEY SN15 2LG

To April 24. Lacock Abbey Village and Fox Talbot Museum, Lacock.

Easter egg hunts at Lacock Abbey. Treat your little ones to a world of adventures at Lacock Abbey on the Easter adventures in nature trails. 10am-5pm.

EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA AT BOWOOD HOUSE & GARDENS SN11 0LZ

To April 24. Easter Eggstravaganza at Bowood House & Gardens, Bowood, Calne.

Join in the fun this Easter with the Big Egg Hunt in the Arboretum, there will be a fun Easter Bunny Hide and Seek in the Adventure Playground and interactive Easter activities within the house. Complimentary to season ticket holders, included with your day ticket, normal house and gardens admissions apply. 11am-6pm.

BRADFORD ON AVON EASTER EGG HUNT BA15 1DE 

Easter Sunday. Timbrell's Yard Easter Egg Hunt. Timbrell's Yard, 49 St Margarets Street, Bradford On Avon.

All-day Easter egg hunt for little ones in the grounds of Timbrell's Yard on the banks of the winding River Avon.

On Bank Holiday Monday, look out for the annual Bradford on Avon duck race and kick back and relax with a Timbrell's all-day brunch, served from 8am-5pm. Reservations recommended.

CREATE YOUR OWN BUNTING AT CHIPPENHAM MUSEUM SN15 3HF

April 12 and 19. Create Your Own Bunting. Chippenham Museum, 10 Market Place, Chippenham.

Create your own simple bunting at Chippenham Museum and find out more about adding your own triangle to Chippenham's Jubilee Bunting project. These sessions are free for all ages on Tuesdays in the Easter holidays, simply drop in between 10.30am and 3.30pm.

Join in the gallery to create your decoration to take home. Be inspired by the colours, patterns and textures of the textile art in the museum's exhibition, The Covid Chronicle.

There are also Quiet Time sessions 9am – 10am on both dates for children that would find the busy nature of drop-in sessions uncomfortable. Places are limited to four children, with booking essential.

Open at Chippenham Museum to May 7 with free entry, The Covid Chronicle is a textile art project capturing the national collective experience of the pandemic. The large-scale artwork is touring the UK and features work by the Chippenham community. 10.30am-3.30pm.

ANOTHER BRADFORD ON AVON EASTER EGG HUNT BA14 6RL

Easter Saturday, April 16. Wild Herb at The Field Kitchen, Glove Factory Studios, 1 Brook Lane, Holt, Bradford on Avon. 10am-3pm.

For family fun round up the kids, the dog and your most inquisitive brain for an Easter egg hunt around the courtyard, lakes and fields at Glove Factory Studios.

As always, the mysterious rabbit is going to be up early and hopping about to hide the fiendish clues to a puzzle. With their hunt card in hand, young explorers can search for the clues to unlock their Easter egg reward.

Head to the kitchen with your tribe when you arrive to buy your hunt card and begin the challenge.

Wild Herb at The Field Kitchen will have snacks and drinks available all day for adventurers of all ages.

DEVIZES EASTER EGG HUNT SN10 5HR

Easter Sunday. Scrambled Eggs Easter Hunt, Hillworth Park, Devizes.

The annual Easter Egg Hunt is back. Take a hop around Hillworth Park to hunt the clues the Easter Bunny has left behind. Unscramble your letters, solve the puzzles and return to the café to win your chocolate egg.

£3.50 per child Opening Times Sunday 12:00 -13:00 and 13:30-14:30
