FILMING in Wiltshire has brought in over £800 to the county’s economy this year.

Data obtained through a Freedom of Information request by the Gazette reveals that £843 has been brought into Wiltshire through filming.

The only filming this year has been Sky’s crime-drama, Agatha Raisin, and currently there are no more productions or projects in the pipeline.

This amount only covers film requests for productions on council-owned land and the local authority said it would not necessarily be aware of filming happening elsewhere on privately owned property.

The location for Sky’s filming was Biddestone, Colerne and North Wraxall and took place in January, this year.

Agatha Raisin is based on books by M. C. Beaton and the fourth season is now in production.
