GREAT FAMILY HOME - I know I tend to waffle on when it comes to Swallowfield Village (quite justified in my opinion) I go again!

When it comes to Swallowfield I`m a bit biased, my mother still lives out here along with a lot of good friends and it`s a fantastic village to grow up in, settle down in or retire has something for everyone. As a quintessential English village, it`s well-known for its picturesque setting and traditional local amenities, including GP Practice/ Pharmacy, General Store, Post Office and two pubs plus a thriving community with Parish Hall and a Church. Residents enjoy a perfect blend of peaceful, rural surrounds with easy access to town centre attractions, with the vibrant area of Reading just over 15 minutes from the village by car, or by regular Bus service and Wokingham a short hop away. The primary school in Farley Hill is highly regarded and various secondary schools in the local area. Bus connections also give access to Reading and Hampshire schools.

I think the main thing for me when I first saw this home was how well balance it is, may seem a strange thing to say but often with five bedroom homes that have full or partial integral garages it can be feel a tad `top heavy`.... not the case here.

Walking past the attractive front elevation you wander into a good size entrance hall with room to furnish and make something of it. The cloakroom is off to your left of the entrance and then it opens up to a larger space with double door on the angle leading into the main sitting room. This room is an excellent size and a great shape to furnish too, the 17 ft by 13 ft gives you options to set furniture around the fireplace.

Beyond this room you`ll then find the much desired utility room so somewhere to hide all those bits you don`t want on display, keep the dog or wash the kids football kit and boots.

Moving upstairs you`ll find a true five bedroom set-up. The master suite is particularly impressive, square in shape going into the bay window which also gives a lovely feature. The en suite shower room has been really well kept and in a simple but attractive white finish. Bedrooms two, three and four all have built-in storage run across the rear and look out onto the gardens with what is supposed to be bedroom five then sitting above part of the garage so extending to just over 19 ft in depth. The family bathroom then services these bedrooms although there is potential to add an en-suite if you have the need or desire.

Moving outside you see a good size block paved driveway offering sensible double parking and leading to the double garage, bordered to the pathway by picket style fencing and planting.

The rear garden is also really well established with large terrace area giving room to relax and entertain which in turns spills out onto the main garden which is laid to lawn. The borders are again really well established so you do get that look and feeling of privacy and countryside.

So all things considered you have a really excellent size five bedroom family home here in a fantastic village setting that still gives you commuter links, good schooling, doctors with village shop and pub. All that with some great country walks thrown in ...... come and take a look.
