The village

With an excellent pre-school, primary school(which now feeds into St Johns in Marlborough, one of the top 20 secondary schools in the country), post office, petrol station, village stores, pub and even a building merchants! The village provides convenient access to Marlborough, Pewsey, Hungerford and Andover with mainline station only 5 miles drive away. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and steeped in history(Wolf Hall the family home of Jane Seymour, the third wife of Henry VIII, Savernake Forest one of the most ancient royal forests in the country, are just outside the village), it will come as no surprise that the village features high on buyers lists!

The property

We will walk over the driveway and through the front door into the entrance porch with plenty of room for coats, shoes and even wet dogs! Unusually as well as the door into the hall, there is also a door and window into the third bedroom, which we will come back to in a minute. Into the hall with deep storage cupboard and access to the loft. First right into the second bedroom, a good double, currently used as Daisy's, the Rhodesian Ridgebacks, room. Back into the hall and a dated cloakroom and bathroom are next, ideally could easily be knocked together and refitted to match the excellent order of the rest of the property. The main bedroom is also a double and overlooks the rear garden. Across the hall and into the third bedroom, currently used as a store room with shelving and built in wardrobe. This room has a window and door with shared light coming from the front porch, which could easily be re-designed if required.

Turning left we walk into the lovely sitting room with full width windows and doors out into the rear garden, usual tv and telephone connections and door to the kitchen dining room. The kitchen is fitted with a good range of contemporary style white high gloss units with contrasting work surfaces over. Inset sink with mixer tap, space for cooker with extractor hood over, plumbing for both a dishwasher and washing machine and room for tall fridge and freezer. Two windows and door to the side and window overlooking the garden. Right that's inside, lets go out into the gardens.
