It lies on the edge of the Cotswolds with Blenheim Palace, Chipping Norton and Soho Farmhouse all a short drive away. Nearby Banbury and Bicester have a comprehensive range of facilities.

It is a pretty stone built village dating back to mediaeval times and is often referred to as the Apricot Village as there is a long tradition of cultivating apricot trees against cottage walls. It benefits from the beautiful Aynhoe Park a venue for celebrity weddings and also for the Aynho Summer Fair. There are proud village traditions, in particular the May Queen celebration.

Aynho has a strong community spirit with a village hall offering many clubs and activities including guided weekly walks, a monthly village newssheet delivered to all residents and a well maintained website.
