St Peter's Church in Devizes are celebrating their 150th anniversary with a Flower Festival, which was offically opened this morning by the Devizes Mayor Jane Burton. The church will open its doors to the public from Wednesday 29th June until Saturday 2nd July from 10am to 8pm. Floral displays on show document the town's history and the close links with the nearby Kennet and Avon Canal with flower arrangements by the St Peter's Flower ladies.

Malmesbury high street was bustling with crowds of shoppers for the annual Christmas event on Friday night. The event was offically underway with the arrival of Father Christmas in his sleigh parading through the high street with the Town Mayor John Gundry and Malmesbury Morris dancers. Stall holders offered mulled wine, deluxe food selections and mistletoe to welcome the festive season.
