NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 - SECTION 119 AND WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 - SECTION 53
THE WILTSHIRE COUNCIL GRIMSTEAD 1 (PART) DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2019
On 9 April 2019, Wiltshire Council confirmed the above order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert the public footpath running from OSGR SU 2254-2773 in a broadly southerly direction for approximately 116m, to OSGR SU 2257-2762, to a new route running from OSGR SU 2253-2771, in a broadly southerly direction for approximately 106m, to OSGR SU 2257-2762, having a width of 2m. The order will also have the effect of modifying the Salisbury and Wilton Rural District Council Area Definitive Map and Statement dated 1953 accordingly. A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the Rights of Way and Countryside Section, Waste and Environment, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 8JN from 9am to 5pm on Monday to Friday. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of £5.
The order comes into force on 9 April 2019, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 18 April 2019 make an application to the High Court. 18 April 2019
Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) A3026 Tidworth Road (Part), Ludgershall and Tidworth; from its junction with Wellesley Road for approximately 800 metres in a westerly direction to enable R&W Traffic Management to carry out inlay and resurfacing. Alternative route: A3026 (unaffected length) - A338 - A342 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 22 April 2019 and the closure will be required until 26 April 2019. B) Semley Common (Part), Sedgehill and Semley; from its junction with Tokes Lane to its junction with Semley Gates Crossing Road to enable Wessex Water to replace existing water mains. Alternative route: via Semley Common (unaffected length) - A350 - B3089 - High Street - C302 - Bratch Farm Lane - C298 - C43 and vice versa. (Wessex Water) on 03456004600. Orders (a) to (b) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
Section 16(A) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all vehicular traffic: a) B3086 London Road, Shrewton; from its junction with B3086 High Street to its junction with B3086 Packway; b) B3086 Packway (Part), Shrewton; from its junction with B3086 London Road to its junction with Rollestone Crossroads. These temporary traffic measures are required to safeguard members of the public and participants whilst enabling the Shrewton 10Km Running Race to take place. This Order will come into operation on Sunday 19 May 2019 with the exception of vehicles officially involved in the Race, vehicles being used for ambulance, police or fire brigade purposes, or the purpose of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, or with permission being given by a Police Constable in uniform. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all users: Footpath 2 (Part), Tidworth; from its junction with Footpath 24 for a distance of approximately 120 metres in a north westerly direction; Footpath 24 (Part), Tidworth; from its junction with A338 Pennings Road to its junction with Footpath 2 to enable Installing a new culvert. Alternative route: via Plassey Road - A338 Pennings Road and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 13 May 2019 and is anticipated to be required for two weeks. The Order will have a maximum duration of six months. Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Shrewton, Winterbourne Stoke, Berwick St James and Stapleford) (Weight Restriction) Order 2019
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be as follows: To revoke The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Shrewton, Winterbourne Stoke, Berwick St James and Stapleford) (Weight Restriction) Order 1989 and re-enact it in the above Order to amend the current 7.5T weight limit with exemption of except for access to a 7.5T weight limit with exemption of except for loading and unloading. Copies of the draft Order, plan and Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours.
