ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE DEAR HAY LANE THE POOLE (DEAR HAY LANE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2019 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Borough and County of the Town of Poole, the Highway Authority, is satisfied that traffic on the said Road should be prohibited and has made an Order in exercise of its powers under The Highways Act 1980, The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Local Authorities Traffic Order (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996, the effect of this Order is that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed along Dear Hay Lane between West Street and Chapel Lane. Access to Dear Hay will be via West Street and New Orchard.
Emergency Services will be given precise details of the closure dates in due course by the Contractor. Emergency Services will be accommodated on a one-off basis. A diversion will be signed.
THE CLOSURE IS REQUIRED FOR INSTALLATION OF A SURFACE COURSE The proposed Order is effective from Wednesday 24 April 2019 until Friday 3 May 2019
The Order is operative for the period mentioned above but will continue in force for the statutory period of eighteen months if required.
If the works are not completed within the statutory period the Order may be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Order will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.
