ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY ROAD AND LANE CLOSURE PARKSTONE ROAD THE POOLE (PARKSTONE ROAD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2019
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Borough and County of the Town of Poole, the Highway Authority, is satisfied that traffic on the said Road should be prohibited and intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order in exercise of its powers under The Highways Act 1980, The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and The Local Authorities Traffic Order (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations, the effect of this Order is detailed below. PARKSTONE ROAD - The road will be closed In both directions from Mount Pleasant Road Roundabout to the Civic Centre Gyratory from 7.30am until 7pm on Monday 8 April 2019 (one day only). PARKSTONE ROAD - The road will then be closed in an eastbound direction from Mount Pleasant Roundabout to the Civic Centre Gyratory from 7pm on Monday 8 April to 7.30pm on Monday 15 April 2019 effective 24-hours a day until works are complete. THE CLOSURES ARE REQUIRED FOR CARRIAGEWAY RESURFACING
Frontagers and Emergency Services will be given precise details of the works in due course. Emergency vehicles will be accommodated on a one-off basis. Residents of the closed section of road will be informed by letter nearer the time of the proposed works. Diversions will be signed.
The proposed Order is effective from 7.30am on Monday 8 April 2019 until 7.30pm on Monday 15 April 2019.
The Order is operative for the period mentioned above but will continue in force for the statutory period of eighteen months if required.
If the works are not completed within the statutory period the Order may be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport. Any person who uses or permits the use of a vehicle in contravention of the Order will be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £1000.
