The Council is seeking the views of the Wiltshire community on the scope of the review, including the preparation of a Joint Spatial Framework to coordinate development across the Borough of Swindon and the Wiltshire Council area.
Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulations 2004 Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report At this stage, the Council is legally required to consult statutory consultees as defined by Regulation 4 of the Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulations 2004 but have widened the consultation to seek the views of the Wiltshire Community in line with Wiltshire Council's Statement of Community Involvement
adopted July 2015.
Consultation Arrangements
Comments on the consultation documents which include the Wiltshire Local Plan Consultation Paper, Swindon and Wiltshire Joint Spatial Framework Issues Paper (prepared with Swindon Borough Council) and the Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report should be submitted during the consultation period, running from 9:00am on 7 November 2017 and lasting for 6 weeks, closing at 5:00pm on 19 December 2017. Representations received beyond this date may not be considered. All documentsare available to viewathttp://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/planning-policy-local-plan-review and at the following locations during normal opening hours: the council's main offices at Monkton Park (Chippenham), Bourne Hill (Salisbury) and County Hall (Trowbridge); and in all Wiltshire Council libraries.

Notice of Confirmation of Public Path Diversion Order and Definitive Map Modification Order Town and Country Planning Act 1990 Section 257 and Paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 and Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 Section 53A(2) Wiltshire Council - Wiltshire Council Cricklade Path No. 24 (part) Diversion Order and Definitive Map Modification Order 2017 On 26 October 2017 Wiltshire Council confirmed the above Order. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to stop up 58 metres of footpath Cricklade 24 over land at Dance Common south of The Forty, Cricklade from the B.4553 leading south west and to create a replacement length of footpath from the B.4553 45 metres south of the existing footpath leading west north west for 35 metres (width 2 metres) and to change the Cricklade and Wootton Bassett Rural District Council area definitive map and statement accordingly. The diversion is necessary to enable development relating to planning application 17/03586/REM to proceed. A copy of the confirmed Order and the Order Map may be seen at the Rights of Way Section, Ascot Court, Aintree Avenue, Trowbridge, BA14 0XA during normal office hours. Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: (a) Back Road (Part), Calne; for a distance of approximately 50m between property 27, London Road and property 2a, Back Road to enable Wessex Water to carry out meter option and stop tap replacement works. No alternative route is available; access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible. This Order will come into operation on 27 November 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 29 November 2017. For further information please contact

This Order will come into operation on 27 November and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 29 November 2017. This Order will come into operation on 27 November 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30 until 1 December 2017. This Order will come into operation on 6 November 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 1 April 2018. This Order will come into operation on 6 November 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 22 December 2017. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: (k) Spout Lane (Part), Seend; from its junction with the entrance to Devizes Camping and Caravanning Club Site for a distance of approximately 150m to Sells Green canal bridge to enable Wessex Water to carry out sewage rising main replacement works. Alternative route via C242 Spout Lane (unaffected length) - A365 Sells Green - A361 Seend Hill - C242 Spout Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 16 October 2017 will now recommence on 6 November 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 24 November 2017. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: (l) Byway 109 (Part), Purton; from a point approximately 200m north of its junction with Byway 49 (Vasterne Hill) for a distance of approximately 60m in a northerly direction to enable Thames Water to carry out repair work to the water main. Alternative route via Byway 109 (unaffected length) -Byway 43 (Locks Lane) - Locks Lane - Witts Lane - Byway 49 (Vasterne Hill) - Byway 109 (Hoggs Lane) (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 27 November 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 1 December 2017. The Order will have a maximum duration of six months. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated durations to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are possible due to the nature of some of the works.

The above Order was confirmed on 26th October 2017. The effect of the Order, will be to stop up 176 metres of footpath Urchfont 21 over land at Manor Farm, Wedhampton, Devizes from the High Street, Wedhampton leading north east and to create a replacement length of footpath from the High Street, Wedhamton leading east and then north for 222 metres (width 2 metres) and to change the Devizes Rural District Council area definitive map and statement dated 1952 accordingly. WILTSHIRE LOCAL PLAN REVIEW
Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 The Town and Country Planning (Local Development) (England) Regulations 2012 (Regulation 18) Notice of intention to consult on the scope and content of the Wiltshire Local Plan Review, including the preparation of a Swindon and Wiltshire Joint Spatial Framework.
Wiltshire Council intends to prepare a review of the current Wiltshire Core Strategy to be recast as the Wiltshire Local Plan (which relates to the whole administrative area of Wiltshire Council) to cover the period to 2036. The Wiltshire Local Plan outlines a sustainable spatial strategy for future development in the county and sets out detailed planning policies for determining planning applications.
Thepurposeofthereviewwill betoassessthefuturelevelsofneedfornewhomes(including market, affordable and specialist housing and Gypsy and Traveller accommodation) and employment land over the period 2016-2036 and to provide an appropriate basis for housing, employment land and infrastructure provision over that period. The proposed scope of the plan will also consider where an update of existing Wiltshire CoreStrategydevelopmentmanagementpoliciesmaybeneededtoensuretheircontinued consistency with national policy; how to consolidate policies from former Wiltshire district council local plans; and bespoke policies to plan positively for each town centre in Wiltshire.
