The following planning applications are those affecting the setting of a Listed Building, a Conservation Area, a Public Right of Way, or major applications and are available to view on our website. Views relating to the planning applications listed below should be made by 23 June 2017 quoting the reference number. All views expressed regarding a planning application will be considered and placed on a file, which is open to the public. Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to:
Temporarily suspend the existing No Waiting at Any Time and No Loading restriction on High Street (Part), Melksham; on the eastern side of the highway (adjacent to Lloyds Bank), from its junction with Place Road in a northerly direction for a distance of approximately 30m, and to temporarily introduce a No Waiting at Any Time (except buses) restriction in its place. To enable: a temporary bus stop to be operated whilst phased construction work is undertaken at Market Place, Melksham. The restriction and temporary bus stop will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 5 June 2017 and is anticipated to be required until 7 July 2017. Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: The Ley, Box; for a distance of approximately 150m between property 'Box Bottom House' and property 'Unit 4 The Ley'; and to temporarily suspend the existing One-Way Order on the same length of road to facilitate local access and egress. To enable: Wessex Water to install washout x 3. Alternative route via The Ley (unaffected length) - Quarry Hill - Bargates -A4 London Road - Chapel Lane - A365 Devizes Road - The Ley (unaffected length) and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 5 June 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 9 June 2017. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: (a) Post Office Lane, Atworth; from its junction with A365 Bath Road for its entire length to enable Wessex Water to carry out meter installation. No alternative route is available; access will be maintained for residents and businesses. This Order will come into operation on 20 June 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 22 June 2017. For further information please contact Simon Phillips (Wessex Water) on 0345 6004600; (b) B4069 High Street (Part), Sutton Benger; from a point adjacent property 'The Paddocks' for a distance of approximately 1km in an easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway reconstruction, iron works, road markings and associated works. Alternative route via B4069 (unaffected length) - A420 - A4 - A3102 - B4069 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 June 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30 until 7 July 2017. Alternative route via Charlotte Street (unaffected length) - B3106 Prospect Place - C372 Timbrell Street - Cross Street and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 19 June 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 21 June 2017. Notice is hereby given that the | Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: (d) C225 Church Lane, Limpley Stoke: from its junction with A36 Warminster Road to its junction with UC Middle Stoke to enable Wessex Water to carry out a new connection. Alternative route via C225 Church Lane (unaffected length) - C221 Crowe Lane, Crow Hill, Lower Stoke -A36 Warminster Road and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 5 June 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 9 June 2017. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out kerbing, carriageway resurfacing/patching work, road marking and adjustment of ironworks: (e) C86 Cross Keys (Part), Corsham; from its junction with High Street to its junction with A4 Chippenham Road. Alternative route via Newlands Road - B3353 Pickwick Road - A4 and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 6 June 2016 will now recommence on 8 June 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between 07.00 and 19.00 for three days; (f) C395 Semington Road (Part), Melksham Without; from its junction with Berryfield Lane to its junction with Hampton Park West. Alternative route via Semington Road (unaffected length) - A350 - Hampton Park West and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 27 June 2016 will now recommence on 7 June 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 9 June 2017. Orders (e) and (f) have a maximum duration of 18 months. For further information regarding closures (e) and (f) please contact Atkins on 01225 730360.
