NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 AND WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 WILTSHIRE COUNCIL

MALMESBURY ST PAUL WITHOUT 13 (PART), 16 (PART), 17 (PART) AND LEA AND CLEVERTON 1A (PART) DIVERSION ORDER AND

DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2015

On 31 January 2017 an inspector appointed by The Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed the above order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed diverts four paths. Malmesbury St Paul Without 13 running from OS GR ST 9460-8690 in a south-easterly direction for approximately 278 metres to OS GR ST 9482-8672 to a line running from OS GR ST 9460-8690 in a south-easterly direction along the field boundary for approximately 293 metres to OS GR ST 9482-8672. Malmesbury St Paul Without 16 running from OS GR ST 9487-8747 in a southerly direction for approximately 713 metres to OS GR ST 9493-8677 to a line running from OS GR ST 9487-8747 in a south-westerly direction for approximately 649 metres to OS Grid Reference ST 9459-8691. Malmesbury St Paul Without 17 running from OS GR ST 9455-8666 in a westerly direction for approximately 76 metres to the parish boundary at OS GR ST 9447-8666 to a line running from OS GR ST 9455-8666 in a westerly direction for approximately 47 metres to the parish boundary at OS GR ST 9449-8664. Lea and Cleverton 1A running from OS GR ST 9446-8662 in a northerly direction for approximately 35 metres to parish boundary at OS GR ST 9447-8666 to a line running from OS GR ST 9446-8662 in a north-easterly direction for approximately 37 metres to the parish boundary at OS GR ST 9449-8664. A copy of the confirmed Order may be seen (free) at the Rights of Way Section, Unit 9, Ascot Court, White Horse Business Park, Trowbridge, BA14 0XA (0900 - 1700 weekdays). The order comes into force as from 07 February 2017, but if any person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 16 March 2017 make an application to the High Court. The route was certified as acceptable by Wiltshire Council on 24 February 2017.

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF AN ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 AND WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 WILTSHIRE COUNCIL MALMESBURY WITHOUT 15 EXTINGUISHMENT AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2015

On 31 January 2017 an inspector appointed by The Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed the above order made under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980 and section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order is to extinguish the public footpath running from Southfield Farm, at OS GR ST 9496-8677, in a south-westerly direction for approximately 77 metres, then south-easterly for approximately 118m to OS GR ST 9492-8663. The order also has the effect of modifying the Malmesbury Rural District Council area definitive map and statement dated 1952 accordingly. Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: Footpath 6 (Part), Devizes;

from Town Bridge (A361 Northgate Street) in an easterly direction for a distance of approximately 495m to Wharf Bridge (Couch Lane) to enable tow path improvements following damage and embankment slippage. Alternative route via Rotherstone - Avon Terrace and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 10 April 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for seven weeks. Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: (a) Footpath 61, Calne Without; from its junction with Sandpit Road in a south-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 65m to its junction with Comet Crescent; (b) Footpath 62, Calne Without; from its junction with Sandpit Road in a south-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 35m to its junction with Footpath 58, Calne Without to enable residential development/construction work. Alternative routes: (a) via Sandpit Road - Hercules Road - Comet Crescent; (b) via Sandpit Road - Oxford Road. The closures will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order which was due to expire on 19 March 2017 will now continue in force until 19 September 2017 or upon completion of the work, whichever is earlier, and it is anticipated that the work will take up to six months to complete. Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: C73, Avebury, East Kennet and West

Overton; from its junction with A4 (Overton Hill) to its junction with C38 (Boreham Down) to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway reconstruction work, surface dressing, road markings and associated works. Alternative route via A4 (East Kennet to Fyfield) - C38 (Fyfield/Lockeridge/ Lockeridge Dene) and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order which previously came into operation on 27 February 2017 will now recommence on 17 March 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 until 21 March 2017. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order has a maximum duration of 18 months. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: (a) Abingdon Court Lane (Part), Cricklade;

from its junction with Thames Close to its northernmost point to enable Wales and West Utilities to install a gas supply to a new build property. No alternative route is available; access will be maintained for residents and businesses. This Order will come into operation on 20 March 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily until 24 March 2017. For further information please contact D. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway reconstruction work, surface dressing, road markings and associated works: (c) Deadhill Wood Crossroads North to Surrendell Farm, Hullavington and Grittleton; from its junction with C72 Deadhill Wood Road/C33 Grittleton Road in a northerly direction to property 'Surrendell Cottage'. No alternative route is available; access will be maintained for residents and businesses. This Order will come into operation on 17 March 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 until 22 March 2017; (d) Pig Lane, Norton/Hullavington; from its junction with C86 (Lord's Wood) for its entire length. No alternative route is available; access will be maintained for residents and businesses. This Order will come into operation on 20 March 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 until 24 March 2017; (e) Surrendell (Part), Hullavington; from its junction with The Parklands to its junction with Deadwood Hill. Alternative route via The Parklands - C33 Grittleton Road - Deadwood Hill and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 23 March 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 07.00 and 18.00 until 29 March 2017. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: (f) C52 (Part) Manningford Bruce, Manningford; from its junction with A345 in a northerly direction to its junction with Dragon Lane to enable work to be undertaken to property boundary wall. Alternative route via C52 (unaffected length) Manningford Bruce/Little Abbots -C8 Wilcot Road - A345 (Pewsey to Manningford) and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 16 September 2016 will now recommence on 20 March 2017 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for seven days.
