Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 The County of Wiltshire (Various Byways, Avebury, Berwick Bassett, Fyfield and Winterboume Monkton) (Prohibition of Driving) Experimental Order 2021

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council made the above-mentioned Experimental Order on 6 April 2021 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 ("the Act"). The Order has a maximum duration of 18 months and during that time consideration will be given to introducing a permanent Order. The effect of the Experimental Order will be to introduce a Prohibition of Driving (to all motor vehicles except motor cycles) on Byway 1, Avebury - From its junction with Byway 5 Avebury to its junction with Byway 40, Fyfield; Byway 12, Berwick Bassett, Byway 40, Fyfield, Byway 10, Winterboume Monkton - the complete lengths. Documents will not be deposited for viewing at Council Officers which are currently closed to the public due to Covid-19. . Wiltshire Council will be considering in due course whether the provisions of the Experimental Order should be continued in force indefinitely. Objections to the making of an Order for the purposes of such indefinite continuation should be made in writing stating the grounds on which they are made, quoting reference LJB/TRO/BBASexp: (a) within a period of six months beginning with the day on which the Experimental Order came into force; or (b) if that Order is verified by another Order or modified pursuant to Section 10(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, within a period of six month beginning on the day on which the variation or modification or the latest variation or modification came into force. Any person aggrieved by the Experimental Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within six week of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 1 May 2021.

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all users: Byway 109 (Part), Purton; from its property known as 16 Hoggs Lane for a distance of approximately 100 metres in a northerly direction to enable Thames Water to carry out maintenance works to assets. Alternative route: via the Public rights of ways network and local Highway network. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order will come into operation on 19 April 2021 and the closure will be required until 21 April 2021. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order will have a maximum duration of 18 months. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council and West Berkshire intends to make an Order to temporarily introduce a 30mph speed restriction on the following length of road: A4 (Part), Froxfield and West Berkshire; from its property known as 8 River View for a distance of approximately 620 metres in an easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out construction of a kerbed island and associated works. The speed limit restriction will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This speed limit restriction notice will come into operation on 10 May 2020 and will be required until 21 May 2020. (Restricted Roads) (No.7) Order 1966 for administrative purposes and to introduce a 30mph speed limit on The Street - from a point approximately 239 metres north east of its junction with Newtown for a distance of approximately 127 metres in a north easterly direction to its junction with the CI, Hullavington.
