Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: Compton Road, Hilmarton; from its junction with Church Road to its junction with C15 to enable Avonline to carry out excavation works to be carried out to lay cable build chamber and cabinets. Alternative route: via C15 - A3102 - Church Road and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order which previously came into operation on 23 September 2019 will now recommence on 23 July 2020 and the closure will be required daily until 29 July 2020. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works. The Order has a maximum duration of 18 months. Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made an Order in the interests of public safety the effect of which will be as follows: High Street (Part), Chippenham; from a point 50 metres from its junction Bath Road to its junction with Market Place to enable Social distancing regulations due to Covid 19. Alternative route: via Market Place - The Causeway - A4 -Bath Road and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs and access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible throughout the works period. This notice which follows an emergency notice will come into operation on 24 July 2020 and will be required weekly every Friday for 18 months. The Order has a maximum duration of 18 months. Notice of Confirmation of Order Public Path Extinguishment & Definitive Map & Statement Modification Order Highways Act 1980 & Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981
The Wiltshire Council Box 96 Extinguishment & Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order 2020 On 9 July 2020 Wiltshire Council confirmed the above order made under section 118 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed is to extinguish the public footpath in the parish of Box, running from OSGR ST 8340-6950, at the A4 road, Box Hill, in a south-south-easterly direction for approx 25m to OSGR ST 8341-6947, at Beech Road, having a width of 1.07m, as shown on the order map and to change the Calne and Chippenham Rural District Council area definitive map and statement dated 1953 accordingly. A copy of the order as confirmed and the order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 8JN from 9am to 5pm on Monday to Friday, please ask at reception to view a copy. The order comes into force on 9 July 2020, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from the 16 July 2020, make an application to the High Court. 16th July 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all users: A) Footpath 104 (Part), Corsham; from its junction with Footpath 99, Corsham for a distance of approximately 20 metres in a northerly direction to enable existing full height kerbs to be replaced with dropped kerbs and footpath regraded to suit new levels. Alternative routes: Bethel Road - Danvers Road - Glebes Way - Hatton Way - Home Mead and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 10 August 2020 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 15 August 2020. Alternative routes: Using the public Rights of Way network and local Highway network. This Order will come into operation on the 24 July 2020 and the closure will be required until 03 August 2020.
