The following planning applications are those affecting the setting of a Listed Building, a Conservation Area, a Public Right of Way, or major applications and are available to view on our website. Views relating to the planning applications listed below should be made by 19/12/2019 quoting the reference number. Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to revoke the County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Chilmark) (30mph Speed Limit) Order 1989 and re-enact it, in part, in the above Order 2 and to introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of roads: Barberry (UC 963201), Becketts Lane (C276), Frog Lane (UC 963202), Hops Close (Byway 8A), Kents Hill (Byway 8A), Ridgeway (UC 963203) and The Street (C276/UC 973202) -the complete lengths; Hindon Lane (UC 963206) - from its junction with Hops Close (Byway 8A) for a distance of 46 metres in a north westerly direction; Kents Hill (C276) - from a point 120 metres south of its junction with B3089 to its junction with Hops Close (Byway 8A); Tisbury Road (C276) - from its junction with Becketts Lane to a point 162 metres south of its junction with Frog Lane. Copies of the draft Orders, plan and Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Tisbury Library, Nadder Centre, Weaveland Road SP3 6HJ between the hours of 2pm to 5pm Monday and Tuesday, 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and 10am to midday Saturday until 23 December 2019. Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: A) Fisherton Street (Part), Salisbury; from its junction with Windsor Road to its junction with South Western Road to enable Network Rail to carry out rivet busting and bridge strengthening. Alternative route: via South Western Road - Mill Road -Cranebridge Road - Crane Street - New Street - Ivy Street - Brown
Street - St Ann Street - Exeter Street -A338 - A3094 - A36 - Fisherton
Street (unaffected length). This Order will come into operation on
24 December 2019 and the closure will be required between the hours of 22:00 and 07:00 until 29 December 2019. Alternative route: via A30 - B3081 - B3095 - A303 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 03 December 2019 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 12 December 2019. C) A342 (Part) Andover Road, Ludgershall; from its junction with A342 High Street to its junction with Hampshire County to enable Miles Macadam to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated maintenance works. Alternative route: via A342 (unaffected length) - A303 - A338 - A3026 and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on 02 December 2019 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30 until 07 December 2019. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.
