Notice of Confirmation of Public Path Extinguishment Order and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order, Highways Act 1980 - Section 118 and Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 s.53 The Wiltshire Council Parish of North Wraxall Path No. 1 Extinguishment and Definitive Map and Statement

Modification Order 2019 On 17 June 2019 Wiltshire Council confirmed the above order made under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 The effect of the order as confirmed will extinguish the entire width of the public footpath running from its junction with the A420 leading north north east to Spring Cottage where east and north to the North Wraxall village road the C.174, approx. length 440 metres and as shown on the order map. The order will also have the effect of modifying the Calne and Chippenham Rural District Council Area definitive map and statement dated 1953 accordingly. A copy of the confirmed order may be seen free of charge at the offices of Rights of Way & Countryside, Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Trowbridge, BA14 8JN (0900 - 1700 weekdays) please ask for Sally Madgwick. The order came into force on 17 June 2019, but if a person aggrieved by the order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 27 June 2019, make an application to the High Court.

Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council proposes to make the above Order 1 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to introduCe a 7.5 tonne weight restriction except for access on The Buffer - from its junction with Cowleaze to its junction with B4553 Purton Road. 2. Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council in exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 proposes the installation of a Zebra pedestrian crossing in Cowleaze - at a point 10 metres east of its junction with The Farm. Copies of the draft Order, plans and Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours.
