Ashamed of town

In February I shall have visitors from New York, and I shall be ashamed to walk them along the streets and towpath at Devizes, due to the heaps of dog poo littering the paths and pavements.

It is truly dreadful.

Can I suggest that at least there is provision of dog litter boxes, and that fines are imposed on those who are too lazy to pick up.

The council could make a fortune, which could then be spent on the above-mentioned boxes.

Try skipping along the path from Quaker’s Walk to The Wharf with a small child who would like to feed the ducks.

Jo Tanner, Victoria Road, Devizes.
