WITH a very successful Devizes Arts Festival having finished last weekend I would like to wholeheartedly thank everyone involved for the commitment and contributions to making it such a resounding success.
Many people make the festival happen: The town hall and its staff, lead sponsors Grist Environmental, key sponsors Awdry Bailey And Douglas and Wadworth’s, as well as individual event sponsors.
A whole host of other people support events: Jo Batchelor and her team at Devizes Books who house our box office, bar staff, admin and event management volunteers, Friends Of The Festival and, of course, the arts hungry audiences who attend our events.
Finally, we couldn’t bring this quality of entertainment to the town without a dedicated and energetic committee who source acts, manage agents, deal with publicity, marketing, stewarding and event management.
For them, they now have a well-deserved break before planning starts in earnest next month for Devizes Arts Festival 2018 where we hope to see even more of the community attending this wide-ranging cultural gem we have in Devizes.
