HOME-Start Kennet is a local voluntary organisation that offers friendship, support and practical help to parents with young children in their own homes.
We are celebrating our 30th year in 2017 and work with families from all walks of life throughout Marlborough, Pewsey, Devizes and Tidworth and their surrounding villages. and more recently the Calne and Chippenham area as well.
Families are referred to us through a number of avenues including health visitors, the Army welfare service, parent support advisors or you can approach us direct by completing a self-referral form.
We recruit and train parent-volunteers to provide support which is tailored to the individual needs of each family.
Our volunteers offer a valuable skilled listening ear, so that parents themselves can find constructive solutions to the problems they are facing.
We are delighted that the new mayor of Marlborough Mervyn Hall has chosen us as one of his charities to support during his mayoral year and would like to thank him for his support and wish him well in his year of office.
