CAN I take this opportunity to let people know about the Summer Fun in Calne playscheme and its 20th anniversary?
The playscheme was set up in 1996 by Calne town councillors and local people. The playscheme has been operating every summer holiday since then providing play activities for Calne children of school age.
Due to the work of many volunteers and committee members the playscheme has managed to keep the costs affordable for all families while offering a safe and fun environment for local children.
On September 17 at Marden House, between 2pm and 4pm, we are planning a celebration and, we hope, a reunion. We would love to hear from you if you have worked on the playscheme, particularly in the early years or you attended as a child or spent some time on the committee.
